History
Windham Ridge is a single track French Immersion school. It was officially opened in 2004.
Four feeder schools fall within our catchment area: Bond Lake PS, Lake Wilcox PS, Oak Ridges PS and Kettle Lakes PS.
The school has developed its name from the history of the Oak Ridges area. Before the town was known as Oak Ridges, it was called Windham Ridge.
Our school motto is “Dare to Dream” and our mascot is the Phoenix.
The teaching staff is committed to meeting the needs of our diverse student population.
We value the academic and social development of our students and support this through classroom and extra-curricular programs.
At Windham Ridge, we strongly believe in the importance of learning a second language in a rapidly changing world. The ability to communicate in several languages is an asset in today's modern world. Windham Ridge offers a learning environment where students thrive as learners within a second-language context.
Facilities
We are a full French Immersion school. Our enrolment is approximately 553 students. A before and after school centre, owned and operated by YMCA is located at Windham Ridge P.S.
