Approval of Minutes
- Motion to defer the approval of the June 2025 meeting minutes by Irene, seconded by Farida, passed by consensus
Approval of Agenda
- Motion to approve the Agenda by Lydia, seconded by Lucy approved by general consensus
Council Election
- Reviewed School Council requirements and the responsibilities for elected positions (Sandy K., Justin H.)
- Motion (Sandy K.) to set out dates for the School Council meetings before election. Passed by general consensus
- 2025-26 School Meetings will take place monthly during the school year except in December and March. They will alternate between Monday and Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. Online will be an option for those who cannot attend in person.
- Elected positions:
- Chairs: Cassandre L. and Irene P. – acclaimed
- Secretaries: Rojeen S. and Vonnie Y – acclaimed
- Treasurers: Jodie M and Satereh Y. elected
- Attendees signed up for Committees. Parents who indicated committees on their Council Nomination Forms will also be added.

New Business – I. Petre, C. Lennox
- Hot Lunches will be starting September 22
- Fall Dance is scheduled for November 7. DJ is confirmed
- Community BBQ will take place September 25 after curriculum night.
Administrators’ Report – S. Kofalvi
- Curriculum night format will include two sessions separated by a 15-minute break
- Terry Fox Walk/Run will happen in school on September 25
- Caring and Safe Schools presentations took place earlier this month
- Intermediate volleyball and cross country have started
- Board funded VORC field trips for grade 4s and 2s have started
- Some Primary students have been reassigned to balance class sizes according to Ministry requirements. No changes to class placements are expected in the Junior grades. Intermediate grade class reassignments will happen soon
